On March 30, 2020, the “Sophia of Kyiv” National Conservation Area announced that it joined the #MuseumFromeHome global initiative and closed for coronavirus quarantine.
“The team of the “Sophia of Kyiv” National Conservation Area apologizes to everyone who had a desire to visit the reserve and joins the #MuseumFromeHome worldwide museum initiative,” says the message on the reserve’s Facebook page.
Under quarantine, employees invited everyone to get acquainted with the architecture and painting of St. Sophia Cathedral through a virtual 3D tour.
The history of the conservation area and its attractions is daily described on its pages in social networks. There are also video lectures of employees of the "Sophia of Kyiv".
“After quarantine, we will be happy to welcome everyone to the National Conservation Area. Meantime, we are supporting #StayAtHome!” they concluded in the reserve.
