President congratulates Jews on Passover

On April 8, 2020, President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky congratulated the Jews of the country on Passover. The greeting was published on the official website of the President.

“Please accept my sincere congratulations on the occasion of Passover, a feast established in honor of the freedom of the Jewish people,” Zelensky addressed the Jews. “The Jewish community of Ukraine is an active participant in public life, it carries out fruitful humanitarian and charitable activities, contributes to the development of spirituality and the strengthening of interfaith harmony in our country.”

The President also wished the members of the Jewish community a warm, sincere holiday in the circle of relatives and friends.

Earlier it became known that for the first time in 2000 years, the Passover lamb can be sacrificed on the Temple Mount.
