Greek MP Rachel Makri believes that if quarantine is introduced again, it is better to die of the flu than live as directed by Christ’s persecutors, Diaforetiko edition reports.
In one of the social networks, Makri wrote that “they (obviously, by ‘they’ she means initiators of the closing of temples – Ed.) deprived us of the Blood and Body of our Lord. They did not allow us to take the Holy Fire ... They fraudulently imprisoned us, and we obeyed, leaving our Christ alone similarly to when the disciples abandoned Him."
“Now they want to do the same thing at Christmas and forecast a second wave of quarantine,” Rachel Makri writes. However, “this time we will not obey or leave Christ alone. It’s better to die of the flu than follow the guidelines of these ... persecutors of Christ,” the politician concluded.
Earlier, the UOJ wrote that the Greek media accused the government of persecuting Orthodoxy.
