Bishop Victor participates in the meeting of AUCCRO with Prime Minister

On June 2, 2020, with the blessing of His Beatitude Metropolitan Onuphry of Kyiv and All Ukraine, the Vicar of the Kyiv Metropolis, Bishop Victor (Kotsaba) of Baryshevka, took part in a meeting of the All-Ukrainian Council of Churches and Religious Organizations (AUCCRO) with the Prime Minister of Ukraine. This was reported on the website of the Department for External Church Relations of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church.
The spokesman of the UOC, Archpriest Nikolai Danilevich, accompanied Bishop Victor.
In addition to Shmygal, the event was attended by the Minister of Social Policy Marina Lazebnaya, Chief Sanitary Doctor of Ukraine Viktor Liashko, Acting Minister of Culture Svetlana Fomenko, as well as Minister of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine Oleg Nemchinov.
During the meeting, the parties discussed the problems of religious life in adaptive quarantine. The members of the AUCCRO also suggested that the government mitigate quarantine for religious organizations and requested the authorities to simplify humanitarian aid and discuss family policy, as well as the role of the Churches in attracting investment to Ukraine and some other issues.
