Court chooses a measure of restraint for Metropolitan Theodosy of Cherkasy

On February 20, 2023, the Sosnovsky District Court selected a measure of restraint for Metropolitan Theodosy of Cherkasy in the form of personal commitment, the spokesperson for the Cherkasy Regional Prosecutor's Office Bohdana Kulik report to "Suspilne".

The court thus granted the Prosecutor's request for the most lenient measure of restraint for Metropolitan Theodosy in the form of personal commitment.

Metropolitan Theodosy of Cherkasy is suspected of inciting inter-faith discord. Phones and computer equipment were seized from the metropolitan during a search in the eparchy's premises and at his residence.

As reported, the SBU declared suspicion to Metropolitan Theodosy of Cherkasy.
