On March 13, 2023, domed crosses turned black at the Refectory Church of the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra. Metropolitan Pavel of Vyshhorod and Chornobyl told the UOJ about this.

The hierarch of the UOC connects this phenomenon with Dumenko's "worship" in the Lavra’s shrine.

“Today, even the crosses have darkened on the Refectory Church after the ‘worships’ of such ‘great’ unfortunate Ukrainians,” he said.

At the same time, drops of a substance resembling myrrh appeared on the crucifix placed on the grave of Metropolitan Volodymyr (Sabodan) on the territory of the Lower Lavra.

According to blogger Ivan Mykuliak, the persecution of the UOC is precisely the reason for all these phenomena: “People, come to your senses, don’t touch the Church of Christ, because there will be a terrible disaster… Repent before it’s too late.”

In the comments, people associated these phenomena with the intention of the authorities to evict the monks of the Lavra from the monastery:

“It is a very great sin to expel praying monks who pray for all of us, for our country,” writes Natalia Kupina.

“There was not enough trouble in the country, so they started to fight with God. No one has yet won the war with God and never will win,” Irina Bondar believes.

As reported by the UOJ, the UOC is being expelled from the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra.
