On March 28, 2023, several hundred aggressive radicals came to the Ivano-Frankivsk Cathedral of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church. A live broadcast of the developments was published on the Facebook page of the Ivano-Frankivsk diocese.
According to the information available to the UOJ, Bishop Nikita of Ivano-Frankivsk, clergy and believers are on the territory of the cathedral. A crowd of radicals – about 200 people gathered near the territory. Believers of the UOC sing prayers, while radicals threaten believers and shout “get the Moscow priest out.”
Together with the radicals came the "priests" of the schismatic and, presumably, the Uniate structures of Ukraine.
The situation is very tense. At the moment, the police take a neutral position and do not actively intervene in the situation.
Earlier, the UOJ wrote that the raider seizure of the last temple of the UOC was reported by Ivano-Frankivsk.
