Metropolitan Clement comments on appointment of OCU "abbot" of Lavra

On March 29, 2023, the head of the UOC Synodal Information and Education Department, Metropolitan Clement (Vecheria), commented on the appointment of the OCU "acting abbot" of the Lavra, reports the Klymenko Time TG channel.

According to Metropolitan Clement, Archimandrite Avraamy, who was appointed today by Epifaniy Dumenko to the position of "acting abbot" of the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra, "will certainlt be in charge of himself".

"There have been several such cases in the last five years. Only then the OCU didn't know what to do with such acquisitions," Metropolitan Clement stressed.

As reported, the OCU has appointed the "acting abbot" of the Lavra. Later, the new "acting vicar" was banned from the priesthood for falling into schism.
