Activists of the OCU have seized St. Michael’s Church in the village of Zadubrivka, reports the press service of the Chernivtsi-Bukovyna Eparchy of the UOC. This happened right at the time of the funeral of a soldier who died at the front.

As agreed by the communities of the two denominations, OCU "priests" conducted a "funeral service" in front of the church.

A group of raiders in balaclavas cut down the side door of the temple leading to the altar and stormed inside with a red and black flag. During the seizure, the OCU supporters beat parishioners. The police, who had been called by UOC worshippers, did not arrive.

"The OCU spits on Ukrainian warriors, the warriors are not people for them, but only an angle grinder or a battering ram with which to break down the door of a temple," the press service of the eparchy stressed. “The body of the hero, an AFU soldier, is lying in front of the temple like trash, the OCU is busy embezzling Christian property and being foul-mouthed!"

As reported, in February the parish in Zadubrivka celebrated four years of around-the-clock prayer for the church.
