The head of the Synodal Department of the UOC for interaction with the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Metropolitan Augustin (Markevych) of Bila Tserkva, was added to the database of the Myrotvorets (Peacemaker – Trans.) website.
According to the Ukrainian nationalists who oversee the site's activities, the bishop is "an opponent of Ukrainian Orthodoxy", "spreads Kremlin propaganda" and "participates in information and propaganda activities of the Russian Federation."
The administrators of the notorious website substantiated the accusations against the hierarch with the alleged statement of Metropolitan Augustin of 2020, in which he said that only one of the 250 parishes of the Bila Tserkva diocese of the UOC moved to the OCU.
As the UOJ reported, Metropolitan Augustin prayed for Ukraine with the soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the front line.
