On the evening of April 26, 2023, several people approached the entrance of the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra during the prayer standing, one of whom began to insult the monks. The video recording of the event got into the disposal of the UOJ.
“You are a Muscovite, a washed-up Muscovite, a f*ck-up Muscovite, a batshit Muscovite,” the man told the Lavra's monk in the frame. When asked why he said that, the man replied that he "thinks so."
– You also said – let me remind you – that I am not a person. I am not human?
– Absolutely, not human you are.
– Why do you think so?
– Because you are a complete Muscovite.
After a while, the man was identified. He turned out to be the “priest” and chaplain of the OCU from Volodymyr-Volynsky Yuriy Zdebsky. In 2018, he received an award from President Petro Poroshenko "For humanitarian participation in the anti-terrorist operation."
Earlier, the UOJ reported that a Uniate with a flag came to the Lavra to "burn these devils."
