Primate of UOC: Gospel helps to tell good from evil in information stream

In order not to lose a correct vision of good and evil, one needs to read the Holy Gospel. The Primate of the UOC, His Beatitude Metropolitan Onuphry of Kyiv and All Ukraine, said this in an interview within the framework of the international television forum “People. Day of the Baptism of Rus ", which was broadcast on July 28, 2020 on the 112 Ukraine TV channel.
“I have one book, which everyone probably has – this is not some kind of a secret book – the Holy Gospel,” said the Archpastor. “It offers a correct understanding of what is good and what is evil. Therefore, if we want to understand, to sort out the abundant flow of information engulfing each person and not to lose ourselves and our human dignity, we must read the Gospel and learn from it what is right and wrong, what is light and dark, what is good and evil."
He noted that this book is available to everyone.
“You just need to pull yourself together and read it, trying to build your life according to this book. Then everything will be fine and nothing will ruin us, no matter what we might be pummeled with. If a person loses understanding of what is good and what is evil, they often fall and harm themselves even tripping over a straw,” the Primate said.
As the UOJ reported, within the framework of the “People. Day of the Baptism of Russia”, His Beatitude Metropolitan Onuphry said that the UOC prays to God and calls on people to reconcile and not fight with one another.
