On June 17, 2023, a “liturgy” dedicated to the 45th anniversary of the local “bishop” Mytrofan Butynsky was held in the Kharkiv Church of the OCU of John the Theologian, the website of the Kharkiv diocese of the OCU reports.

The Bishop Ordinary of the Kharkiv-Zaporizhzhia diocese of the Catholic Church Pavlo Honcharuk prayed together with the "hierarchs" in the altar of the temple at the "liturgy".

Oleksandr Drabinko, who concelebrated at the “worship”, presented the birthday “hierarch” with an icon of St. John Chrysostom with a particle of relics.

After the "liturgy", the "bishops" of the OCU, as well as Pavlo Honcharuk, signed on the title page of the liturgical Gospel. The book at that time lay on the throne. The press service of the OCU did not explain what this ceremony had to do with.

Earlier, the UOJ wrote that a Catholic priest prayed with Epifaniy in the altar of the OCU church in Varash.
