On June 22, 2023, on the air of the regional channel OTB ‘Halychyna', the head of the Ternopil UMA Mykhailo Holovko demanded that the Cabinet of Ministers and the Ministry of Culture terminate the agreement with the Pochaiv Lavra and give it to the local authorities.

“We have already collected 5 extraordinary meetings of the regional council, appealed to the government, parliament, the Ministry of Culture, let's break the contract. They don’t hear us, they don’t notice us,” Holovko complained.

He said that the regional council would initiate an appeal to Kyiv to transfer the PochaIv Lavra into the ownership of the regional community. “And we will then find a way to expel the Russian church from there, we will find a way to break the contract,” Holovko promised.

The official complained that the parliament "does not want to consider a bill to ban the enemy Church of Gundiaev."

He mentioned the center of the UGCC in Zarvanytsia, and stated that this "Ukrainian church" should also be in the Pochaiv Lavra.

Holovko said that MPs “take advantage” of the fact that the media space is blocked by the “United Marathon”, and “you can’t get into the Verkhovna Rada, because everything is cemented there, forced by barricades, because of martial law.”

Earlier, the UOJ wrote that according to MP Poturaev, the agreement on the Pochaiv Lavra is a "very shitty document."
