The Ministry of Culture, represented by the reserve, demanded that the monastery of the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra "vacate" buildings 57 and 58 by July 10, 2023. This became known from Ostapenko's letter to the monastery, which turned out to be at the disposal of the UOJ.

In the text, Ostapenko said that the commission "continues its work on sealing the buildings of the Reserve."

“With a view to preventing the obstruction of the Commission’s work, the Reserve demands to stop the accommodaton by visitors of buildings 57 and 58, which the Monastery uses as hotels, to release the buildings from the persons who live there until 09:00 on July 10, 2023, and provide the Commission with access to check and seal these buildings , as well as hand over the keys to them,” Maxym Ostapenko wrote.

In the above buildings, there are hotels where pilgrims and guests of the monastery live.

Earlier, the UOJ wrote that due to the blocking of the Lavra by the authorities, dozens of believers were unable to attend the liturgy. Priests administered communion to them through the bars of the fence.
