One of the leaders of "Svoboda", Iryna Farion, emotionally criticized the head of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church (UGCC), Sviatoslav Shevchuk, on her Telegram channel for signing a document with Polish Catholics regarding the Volyn massacre.

"Our slave silently listened as the Polish priest lectured about Volyn, which the Poles themselves historically programmed. Question to the head of the UGCC: did the Poles condemn Bandera? And is the UGCC finally going to beatify Stepan's father  Andriy Bandera???? Or are the small-minded incapable of recognizing the great? You are not God's slaves. You are simply slaves," wrote Farion.

Earlier, the UOJ reported that the head of the UGCC, S. Shevchuk, and the head of Polish Catholics, S. Gądecki, signed a "Declaration on Forgiveness and Reconciliation between the Polish and Ukrainian Peoples" dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Volyn massacre.
