On October 6, 2020, during a routine examination, Metropolitan Amfilohije (Radović) of Montenegro and the Littoral received a positive test for coronavirus, and therefore was sent for treatment to the clinic, reports the press service of the Montenegrin-Littoral Metropolitanate of the Serbian Orthodox Church on its official website.
“The Metropolitan spent the previous days in isolation at home under continuous medical supervision,” the message says. “Although today it is confirmed that his general health is in order (without significant complications), and he himself feels well, the COVID test confirmed that the bishop was infected with this virus, for these reasons he was transported to the Clinical Centre in Podgorica.”
According to doctors, the state of health of the bishop, taking into account the positive COVID test, is "completely stable and under control", the press service said and called on everyone to pray for the speedy recovery of Metropolitan Amfilohije and all the affected.
