US transgender becomes the face of AFU media project for Western countries

Sarah Ashton-Cirillo (real name Michael John Cirillo), a transgender from the United States and a member of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, became the new spokesperson of the Armed Forces of Ukraine’s information project. In this role, she will inform the American and European audiences about the course of military operations in Ukraine. The announcement was made on Facebook by the head of the Defense Forces press center, Aleksey Dmitrashkovsky.
He noted that the man had already served in the Armed Forces of Ukraine as a combat medic in one of the territorial defense units. After being treated for a combat wound, the journalist returned to the Armed Forces, where he will continue to engage in journalistic activities.
As reported by the UOJ, the British media reported nearly 50,000 LGBT soldiers serving in the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
