The OCU is built on lies, deceives Ukrainians and reports to the Patriarchate of Constantinople as a metropolis, said the head of the European Dean’s Office of the UOC-KP Vladimir Chaika in an interview with PavlovskyNews.

“The OCU renounced the Ukrainians outside Ukraine or rather exchanged them for the Tomos,” said the spokesperson of the UOC-KP in Europe, explaining why their overseas parishes did not move to the OCU.

He noted that the Ukrainian diaspora was left with no choice and was forced to go to the jurisdiction of the Greek diaspora. Not such autocephaly was expected in the foreign parishes of the UOC-KP.

“We decided to stay in the structure of the UOC-Kyiv Patriarchate since the unfair attitude towards Patriarch Filaret by the episcopate and clergy who passed to the OCU was an expression and manifestation of a lie,” he said and spoke about the intrigues of the “hierarchs” of the new structure against Denisenko.

According to Chaika, the OCU reports to the Phanar and deceives Ukrainians when it speaks about the authenticity of its autocephaly and recognition in the Orthodox world. "This obvious deception does not happen without the powerful support of politicians and various media dependent on them," the Dean emphasized.

He noted that “the OCU, unfortunately, has become a political instrument more than a spiritual support”.

As the UOJ reported, the European Dean's Office of the UOC-KP stated the Phanar ignores their opinion.
