On August 21, 2023, the Volochysk City Council of the Khmelnytskyi region prohibited believers of the UOC, who are participating in a religious procession to the Pochaiv Lavra, from passing through the settlements of the Volochysk territorial community, reports the press service of the mayor’s office.

To make such a decision, the city council deputies were convened for an extraordinary session.

The deputies also recommended the local police department "take measures to prevent the cross procession on the territory of the Volochysk town community."

As reported, before the start of the procession, TCC employees handed out summonses to believers near the Kamyanets-Podilskyi Cathedral of the UOC.
