On September 1, 2023, Archbishop Victor of Khmelnytsky led the liturgy at the Assumption Cathedral in Kosice, the cathedral church of the Michael-Kosice diocese of the Church of the Czech Lands and Slovakia, reports the telegram channel of the Khmelnytsky diocese. The service was held in honor of St. Rosalia of Palermo.

The text of the press service says that Archbishop Victor concelebrated with the ruling bishop of the diocese, Archbishop George, Protosingel of the Suceava Metropolis of the Romanian Church, Archimandrite Justinian (Savescu), the clergy of the UOC, the Orthodox Church of the Czech Lands and Slovakia, and the Romanian Orthodox Church.

“Ukrainians from Chernihiv, Kharkiv, and other cities of Ukraine, who were forced to leave their homes to escape Russian military aggression, prayed at the service,” the text of the message says.

Earlier, the UOJ wrote that the Khmelnytsky bishop would lead the celebrations in the Church of the Czech Lands and Slovakia.
