Zelensky hosts Rabbis from all over Ukraine

On September 14, 2023, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky, with the assistance of the head of State Ethnic Policy Viktor Yelensky, hosted rabbis from Bila Tserkva, Berdychiv, Vinnytsia, Hadyach, Dnipro, Donetsk, Zhytomyr, Zaporizhzhia, Kamensky, Kyiv, Luhansk, Kremenchuh, Kryvyi Rih, Kropyvnytskyi, Lviv , Mykolaiv, Odesa, Poltava, Rivne, Sumy, Uman, Kharkiv, Kherson, Khmelnytsky, Cherkasy, Chernivtsi, reports Zelensky’s telegram channel.
The President listened to one of the rabbis play the shofar (the synagogue's Jewish horn) and also thanked the Jewish leaders for their prayers and for not leaving the country.
“You travel a lot around the world. And a very important point is that you bring to the world the truth that is happening in Ukraine regarding the Russian Federation, the consequences of their aggression on our land,” Zelensky said.
He also congratulated the Jews on the upcoming Jewish New Year.
In turn, the rabbis presented Zelensky with a Jewish menorah.
Earlier, the UOJ wrote that Zelensky refused to receive the Primate and synodals of the UOC.
