Iryna Gerashchenko, a member of parliament from the "European Solidarity" party, mentioned that Ukraine's international allies are worried about the consequences of banning the UOC. She wrote about this in her blog published by "UP" (Ukrainska Pravda).

She noted that it is precisely the concern of the global community that the authorities use as an argument for delaying the adoption of anti-church laws.

At the same time, Gerashchenko called for "working" with allies and explaining to them that they were mistaken.

"We need to work with our partners, explain and prove that this is not about freedom of religion but about national security. ... People's deputies should clarify this to our foreign colleagues, some of whom are currently blocking trips to international conferences and events," she added.

As reported, Iryna Gerashchenko saw the attack on the Odesa Cathedral as a pretext for banning the UOC.
