The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has adopted new quarantine measures due to the coronavirus, which prohibit or restrict mass events throughout Ukraine, reports the Government's website.
New restrictions have also been introduced for worship.
Since December 19, indoor religious events have been prohibited if more than one person per 5 square metres takes part in them. In the open air, the same distance of 1.5 meters remains.
Previously, the conditions for conducting services have been no more than 20 people could be in the temple at a time.
The new restrictions essentially allow more worshipers for large temples but may reduce the number of worshipers allowed in smaller premises.
As reported, the Chief Medical Officer of Ukraine said why the lockdown will be introduced after Christmas.
