Priest’s son and UOC metropolitan’s nephew dies at the frontline

Warrior Ioann Markevich, the nephew of Metropolitan Augustine of Bila Tserkva and Bohuslav and the son of the rector of St. George’s Church in Bilylivka, Protopriest Mykhailo Markevych, died at the front, reports the Synodal Military Department of the UOC, expressing condolences to the archbishop and the cleric of the UOC.
"May the Lord grant the Heavenly Kingdom to warrior Ioann and console the parents of the fallen defender of Ukraine, Protopriest Mykhailo and mother Liudmyla Markevych," the Department wrote.
As reported, the Mukachevo Eparchy held a funeral for the son of a UOC priest who died at the front.
