A rally in support of Metropolitan Longin begins in Chisinau

On December 5, 2023, at 11:00, a rally in support of Metropolitan Longin, accused by authorities of "fanning interreligious strife," began near the Ukrainian Embassy in Chisinau. This information is reported by the UOJ correspondent.

The participants of the rally demand that Ukrainian authorities ensure the freedom of the hierarch of the UOC, who takes care of and educates hundreds of orphaned children in the Bancheny Monastery.

"Dear Vladyka! Orthodox Moldova is with you!"; "Preserve the purity of Orthodoxy"; "We support and defend Metropolitan Longin"; "Do not leave orphans from Ukraine without their father," read the slogans on posters.

As reported by the UOJ, hundreds of people rallied in Bucharest in support of Metropolitan Longin.
