Two temples of UOC shelled in Kherson

On the night of 14 December 2023, two temples of the UOC in Kherson – the Assumption Cathedral and the Church of the Nativity of the Theotokos – suffered from Russian shelling, reports the press service of the UOC.
The Assumption Cathedral had the dome damaged. The floor of the temple is strewn with broken bricks and glass shards. The dome itself is cut with shrapnel. Some icons were broken.
The walls of the Church of the Nativity of the Theotokos were hit by shrapnel, the altar part was damaged and windows were broken.
As earlier reported, the UOC bishop’s residence suffered from shelling in Kherson.
