The Fastiv Prosecutor's Office of the Kyiv region has forwarded to court the case of Metropolitan Theodosiy of Cherkasy and Kaniv, who is accused of "inciting inter-religious discord" during his house arrest. This information was reported by the press service of the Kyiv Regional Prosecutor's Office.
According to the investigation, while under house arrest, the UOC hierarch allegedly posted videos on YouTube in which he "negatively characterized representatives and believers of the OCU and other denominations, law enforcement officers, judicial authorities, local government officials, and public activists."
The department claims that Metropolitan Theodosiy's statements "contained calls for inciting national and religious discord, as well as signs of incitement of the Ukrainian population to unleash interfaith conflicts."
"Corresponding conclusions are confirmed by forensic-linguistic expertise," added the prosecutor's office.
As reported by the UOJ, the victim mysteriously disappeared in the case of Metropolitan Theodosiy.
