On February 14, 2021, despite frosty and windy weather, the Orthodox community of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church in the village of Dolive, Rakhiv district of the Transcarpathian region, who had been earlier expelled from their church, gathered again for an open-air prayer.

The worship, which was held outdoors near a small rural chapel, was broadcast on the Facebook page of a representative of the Khust diocese of the UOC.

We will remind, a week ago the activists of the OCU, with the assistance of the authorities, took over the temple of the Holy Dormition community of the UOC in Dilove village. The re-registration of the UOC community in favor of the new church structure is being considered in court, but one of the court decisions, opening the OCU’s road to the temple, entered into force.

Also, the local deanery of the UOC reported that there are few supporters of the OCU in the Transcarpathian village, while the community of the canonical Church is numerous. The rector of the church, Fr. Ioann is temporarily relieved of his duties; one of the brethren of the local monastery serves with the Holy Dormition community.
