On March 25, 2021, representatives of the UGCC and RCC in Khmelnytsky held a memorial prayer over the body of the deceased "hierarch" of the OCU Vladislav (Anthony) Makhota. A photo of the prayer was posted on the «У ритмі Православ’я» (“In Orthodox Rhythm”) Facebook page.

Judging by the photo, Bishop Leon Dubravsky of Kamianets-Podilskyi of the RCC and Bishop Ivan Kulik of Kamianets-Podilskyi of the UGCC, as well as the clergy of these structures, took part in the prayer over the body of the “hierarch” of the OCU Makhota.

In addition, both Catholic bishops expressed sympathy over the death of the OCU representative. Leon Dubravsky hopes that "after friendly cooperation" with Makhota on earth, they will glorify God together in "a single angelic choir in eternity", and Ivan Kulik noted that Makhota's death filled him with "an even greater understanding of the mystery of the Easter of Christ and the Easter of man".

The official funeral service for Anthony Makhota took place on 26 March.

As earlier reported, "Metropolitan" OCU Anthony Makhota of Khmelnytsky and Kamianets-Podilskyi reposed.
