Kharkiv Metropolitan expresses condolences over city shelling

Metropolitan Onuphry of Kharkiv and Bohodukhiv expressed condolences to the families of the victims of the Russian missile attack on Kharkiv on 23 January 2024. The address of the bishop was published on the eparchy’s website.

The bishop of the UOC noted that as a result of the shelling houses with civilians were destroyed and innocent people were killed.

"May God heal the spiritual and material wounds of all fellow citizens and bless them with His grace and love. The war must necessarily end, Kharkiv and the entire Ukraine will be restored," wrote Metropolitan Onuphry.

As reported, the Annunciation Cathedral of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church was hit by shelling in Kharkiv.
