On 29 January 2024, Metropolitan Luke of Zaporizhzhia wrote on his Telegram channel about his email hack.
"Once again, there has been an unauthorized intrusion into my email inbox. In case information appears online that defames the clergy and the Church, allegedly spread in my name, please understand that this is a lie and provocation," the hierarch warned.
There have been previous successful attempts to hack the accounts of the Zaporizhzhia Eparchy. On 12 January, a fake post, supposedly from Metropolitan Luke, appeared on the Facebook page of the press service, where Patriarch Kirill was referred to as "Judas".
It is worth noting that earlier, Metropolitan Luka addressed the judges of the Zaporizhzhia District Court on his Telegram channel, demanding evidence of "anti-state activities" by the Zaporizhzhia Eparchy of the UOC.
