Fr Alexander Klimenko thanked the believers who are not like the invaders of churches and do not spread hatred but are trying to resolve the situation peacefully.
“When our people retreat from hatred and anger and, even with crying and tears in their eyes, step aside and build a new church, it resembles the revival of primary communities,” he said on the air of the “Nash” TV channel. "Even despite the oppression, we are reborn again."
Fr Alexander noted that people who are “in fact taken away from their spiritual home” give their own plots of land to build a new church.
“Maybe, this is the birth of a new Church, which does not seek help from the authorities or temporary political trends but simply wants to live with Christ,” the priest added.
Earlier, Fr Alexander said that parishioners see that their Church is "like a tinderbox" and it can be taken away at any moment.
The priest appealed to representatives of all denominations in Ukraine and stressed that discriminatory laws may sooner or later be directed against them.
