The churches in honor of the apostles Peter and Paul in Sokyriany and Lenkivtsi of the Chernivtsi region were seized by the same representatives of the OCU, according to the Telegram channel "Dozor na 'Pershomy Kozatskomu'".
Journalists write that "on February 6, a group of raiders from the OCU took over Sts. Peter and Paul church of the UOC in the city of Sokyriany in Bukovyna."
"Spiritual occupiers burst into the sanctuary, pushed out the parishioners, and blocked the church. On February 7, the UOC believers could no longer enter their church, as the criminals were still there," they said in the Telegram channel.
Referring to their sources, journalists reported that "the raid was led by OCU chaplains Roman Hryshchuk and Nazar Krasnodemsky," and "they were supported by hired mercenaries from the 'Tiger' security firm."
"On February 8, the same spiritual occupiers were already on the threshold of the Peter and Paul church of the UOC in Lenkivtsi. They cut off the locks on the House of God and blocked the entrance to the sanctuary. Raiders attacked a parishioner of the church," the message says.
According to journalists, "the OCU has formed its 'flying squad,' which captures new churches in different parts of the region every day."
In connection with this, they called on all Orthodox residents of Bukovyna to be ready to defend their sanctuaries.
Earlier, the UOJ wrote that in Lenkivtsi, Bukovyna, people in military uniforms and the police seized the UOC church, and at the same time, thugs beat a parishioner.
Also, the UOC church was also raided in another settlement of the Chernivtsi region – the city of Sokyriany.
