On 20 February 2024, law enforcers handed Metropolitan Yevlogy of Sumy a suspicion of "inciting interfaith discord", which he allegedly allowed when he spoke about the non-recognition of the OCU by some Local Churches, Metropolitan Yevlogy reports to the UOJ.

The bishop noted that the suspicion is based on his statement about "the non-recognition of the apostolic succession in the OCU by the Polish and Albanian Churches".

In addition, according to the bishop, the National Police and SBU employees under pressure demanded that he sign a document admitting guilt of "inciting discord".

"I refused. They had several conversations with me – at first even with a smile, in a friendly way. I told them I couldn't sign because my conscience would bother me, I can't incriminate myself, I'm innocent. Yesterday they put strong pressure on me and intimidated me. They are not going to choose a measure of restraint yet. They are only discussing my admission of guilt. But they have already made it clear that it will be bad for me if I disagree," he said.

As reported, the SBU has handed a suspicion to Metropolitan Theodosiy for the "fake" about the seizure in Cherkasy.
