On April 12, in the morning, the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) came with a search to Archpriest Mykolai Danylevych, Deputy Head of the Department for External Church Relations of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church. This was reported by the Operativno Telegram channel.

Sources of the UOJ confirmed this information. It is known that two days ago Father Mykolai communicated with representatives of the Conference of European Churches, among whom were representatives of the Patriarchate of Constantinople. Contrary to the statement of the All-Ukrainian Council of Churches and Religious Organizations (AUCCRO) that all religious structures support the legislative initiatives of the authorities, the spokesperson of the UOC told Europeans that bill 8371 discriminates against the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, due to which it does not support this bill.

At the moment, the Security Service of Ukraine has not made any statement about what the priest of the UOC is suspected of.

As reported by the UOJ, earlier the UOC priest refuted the statement of the spokesperson of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine, Yevstratiy Zoria that the UOC allegedly "did not consider it necessary" to include its representative "of the appropriate level" in the delegation of the All-Ukrainian Council of Churches and Religious Organizations for a visit to the USA.
