The architectural monument of Trebukhiv – the Church of the Protection of the Mother of God, which is over a hundred years old, is facing destruction. This was reported by Tribuna Brovary.
As journalists write, this "was revealed after the parish's transition to the OCU."
However, the forcible seizure of the UOC church, during which raiders cut the locks with an angle grinder and then threw out liturgical books, calling the Bible "trash", took place a year ago, on April 22, 2023.
After a year of the OCU's presence in the sanctuary, the roof began to leak, and now the cleric of this structure has announced a collection of 800,000 hryvnias for the repair of the church.
As the UOJ previously reported, raiders from the OCU seized the UOC church in Trebukhiv. Later, they took away the house from the UOC priest and evicted his family onto the street.
