Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Andriy Yermak, as well as the Head of the State Service for Ethnic Policy and Freedom of Conscience Viktor Yelensky, met with representatives of Jewish organizations in the country on the eve of the Jewish holiday of Passover, according to the DESS website.

Congratulations on the holiday were expressed at the meeting, as the President called on Jews to contribute to international support for Ukraine. Zelensky addressed representatives of the Jewish community to ask for assistance from Western partners, including weapons to strengthen air defense.

"How symbolic that we are in a Jewish school and in a bomb shelter. That's the eve of Passover. This is a very important signal to the whole world that every people and nation are fighting for freedom and their values, which are more important than conditions... That we are in a bomb shelter, that children have it, and it's not their choice, but what Russia did <...> The Jewish community supports Ukraine in the fight for freedom for all our children and the future," the President said.

Rabbis of Ukraine stated that since the beginning of the war, none of them had left the country, including because of Zelensky.

"The main thing is to be fearless. As a leader, you set a great example in this. The whole country looks at you and sees how confident and brave you are, and that is what keeps people with great hope for victory," said Chief Rabbi of Dnipro Shmuel Kaminecki.

As reported by the UOJ, Minister of Jerusalem Affairs and Traditions Meir Porush demands that the UN ensure the delivery of wine and matzo to Israeli hostages held by Hamas in Gaza, "so they can celebrate the Passover holiday of freedom."
