The British publication Express published an article by David Maddox titled 'Justin Welby's warning to President Zelensky over plans to ban Ukrainian Orthodox Church', which addresses the relationship between the UOC and the Ukrainian authorities. The article not only discusses the Anglican Church's defense of the UOC but also the censorship that has affected Ukrainian church media.
"Only last month, Ukrainian authorities blocked access to a number of websites publishing information on the developing situation of the UOC. According to local media reports, news websites covering the activities of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, such as the Synodal Information and Educational Department of the UOC (news.church.ua), the Union of Orthodox Journalists, Orthodox Life, and "No to schisms" (raskolam.net) have been made inaccessible in Ukraine following an order by the Ukrainian Security Services," the article states.
As a reminder, we have opened a fundraising campaign for international legal defense for those unjustly persecuted in the "UOJ case." We urge you to support us in this fight!
