On April 27, 2024, on Lazarus Saturday, His Beatitude Metropolitan of Kyiv and All Ukraine Onufriy led the Divine Liturgy at the Holy Dormition Kiev Pechersk Lavra, reported the Information and Educational Department of the UOC.

The service took place in the church dedicated to Venerable Agapitus of the Caves.

Metropolitan Anthony of Boryspil and Brovary , vicars of the Kyiv Diocese: Metropolitan Ioasaph of Vasylkiv, Bishop Lavr of Irpin, Bishop Mark of Borodianka, clergy of the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra, and guests in holy orders concelebrated the Primate at the Divine Liturgy.

During the Great Ektenia, special prayers were offered to the Lord for peace in the land of Ukraine and deliverance from the enemy; for the Lord to have mercy on our people and preserve those who are desperate and homeless; for God's blessing upon the people of goodwill who help the needy. In the prayer after the Ektenia, the Primate asked God for mercy for the Ukrainian people, for the Lord to guide the authorities, strengthen the soldiers, release the captives, heal the sick, and provide shelter for the homeless.

After the dismissal, the Primate addressed the congregation. His Beatitude spoke to the faithful about the righteous Lazarus, whom the Lord raised on the fourth day after death. The Chief Pastor compared the human soul to the deceased Lazarus, as it also needs to be raised from the death of sin to eternal life.

At the end, His Beatitude Metropolitan Onuphry wished everyone to attain the Bright Resurrection of Christ and blessed the believers.
