The Tithe Monastery received a letter from the state executor stating that bulldozers would be brought to the temple on May 7, Tuesday of Bright Week, to demolish the sanctuary. The document was published by the Dozor_kozak1 Telegram channel.
Earlier, it became known that the National Museum of Ukrainian History and the executive service found a subcontractor for the demolition of the temple.
On the morning of April 29, monastery lawyers filed a complaint against the actions of the state executor in court. A statement was also filed with the police regarding the commission of a crime under Article 364 of the Criminal Code by the senior state executor, Molotilova.
According to journalists, the response came around 5 pm the same day. An unknown young man and woman attached a document to the temple door with tape. A candlestick, which came out of the temple at the noise, asked who they were. Without introducing themselves, they disappeared.
"Soviet museum workers and their accomplices in the executive service are not even capable of doing anything according to the law. According to the relevant procedure, such documents are sent by registered mail," the message said. - In the document itself, the state executor Molotilova threatens that on May 7, during Bright Week, bulldozers will be brought to the temple. The sanctuary is planned to be demolished."
As the UOJ wrote, according to current legislation, customers do not have the right to demolish the temple; this should be done by the religious community of the Tithe Monastery by court order. However, a contract was concluded between the museum, the charitable foundation, and the LLC "Smile Construction", under which the museum hires the foundation as a subcontractor that orders the demolition of the monastery from LLC "Smile Construction". According to the contract, the subcontractor undertook to destroy the temple within 10 days from the moment of adopting the "Resolution on Involving the Economic Entity in Enforcement Actions", signed on April 26, 2024.
