On April 30, 2024, a judge of the Pechersk District Court changed the precautionary measure and ordered the removal of the electronic bracelet from the abbot of the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra, Metropolitan Pavel (Lebed) of Vyshhorod and Chornobyl, reports a UOJ correspondent.
The bishop thanked all the clergy and believers for their prayers and support, Judge Svitlana Hrechana, Prosecutor Yevhen Zavistovsky, as well as his lawyers, "who worked harder than anyone".
"This is accomplished when the Lord goes to voluntary passion for us and our salvation! I thank the merciful God, Christ the Savior, who freed me from obvious bonds. I believe, without any doubt, that He, with His glorious Resurrection, will also grant me, a sinful and unworthy one, to glorify His Glorious Resurrection, together with you to be an heir of the Kingdom of Heaven. With heartfelt gratitude and earthly homage to the Mother of God and all the Venerable Pechersk Saints, and to you, dear brothers and sisters," wrote Metropolitan Pavel.
As the UOJ wrote, on April 19, 2024, Metropolitan Pavel of Vyshhorod and Chornobyl prayerfully celebrated his birthday and the anniversary of his episcopal ordination. The bishop held the Liturgy of the Presanctified Gifts in the home church in the village of Voronkov, Kyiv region, where he was under house arrest.
