A member of the UOC recorded a plea urging people to come to a prayer vigil at the Tithe (Desiatynna) Church in Kyiv on May 7th and support the sanctuary, which is scheduled to be demolished tomorrow morning. The video was published by the KozakTv1 Telegram channel.
"Christ is Risen, dear brothers and sisters! I am currently at the Desiatynna Church, which is scheduled to be demolished by a bulldozer tomorrow at 6:30 a.m. I urge you to come here tomorrow for a prayer standing and support, protect the sanctuary!" said a parishioner of the UOC.
Previously, the abbot of the Tithe Monastery, Bishop Kliment, specified, "The Executive Service has entered into a contract with a construction company, ... construction and demolition company. On 7 May, Tuesday of Holy Week, at 6:30 it will be engaged in the demolition of this church. So, I ask everybody for holy prayers. We all believe in the miracle of God, in the power of God."
As reported by the UOJ, the Tithe Church in Kyiv is threatened with demolition on Bright Tuesday.
