DECR MP: OCU is a political project of USA from the beginning to the end

The OCU was initially a US project to implement the principle of "divide and rule", and this American plan was implemented by Patriarch Bartholomew, said the Chairman of the Department of External Church Relations of the ROC, Metropolitan Hilarion of Volokolamsk (Alfeyev), according to the DECR website.
The hierarch commented on the visit of US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken to Kyiv.
The fact that Blinken met only with the head of the OCU Epiphany Dumenko but did not meet with other religious leaders, is not a coincidence, assures the metropolitan.
"The fact that the US Secretary of State met with the leader of the schism but did not meet with any other religious leader – neither the head of the canonical Church, nor Muslim or Jewish leaders – once again shows that the so-called OCU led by so the so-called metropolitan (in fact, a false metropolitan) Epiphany is a project of the United States, a political project from beginning to end,” said the head of the DECR MP.
This is not what was born in the depths of church life, but what was created by the Americans to once again embody the principle by which they are guided and by which they act – divide and rule. The division that has already occurred at the political level is now taking place at the church level as well.
The head of Phanar became the person who carried out this political plan of the USA, the metropolitan noted.
"His dependence on America is also quite obvious, known to everyone, and it is, in fact, not hidden from anyone," he said.
As reported by the UOJ, Dumenko and Blinken discussed how to help the "transitions" of communities from the UOC to the OCU.
