Honored Doctor of Ukraine Priest Rostislav Valikhnovsky expressed support for the new movement of believers of the UOC "Miriane" (Laity – Trans.) and called for participation in a prayer stand in defense of the Church near the Verkhovna Rada, according to the YouTube channel of the Miriane project.

Father Rostislav noted that everything possible should be done so that the authorities heard the faithful of the UOC and canceled the discriminatory laws through which they want to take away the name of the Church and let the seizure of churches go unpunished.

“If our future matters to all of us, and above all the spiritual life and heritage of our children, we must protect our spiritual heritage that we received from our ancestors,” said the priest-doctor.

Therefore, I am sure that it is necessary to be physically present at the meeting, if possible, which will take place on Tuesday 15th. But if you are very far away, then join the social networks of the Miriane project and the UOC, where this initiative will be fully covered."

The priest emphasized that believers should use available means to protect the Church.

“The things that are being committed against the Churches, forceful seizures of our temples must be stopped. Our President and the authorities must draw the right conclusions and take an immediate action to halt these laws and retain the original name of the Church."

As reported by the UOJ, the “Miriane" call on the believers of the UOC to come to the Rada to defend their rights.
