Archpriest Nikolai Danilevich, deputy head of the Department for External Church Relations of the UOC, wrote on his Telegram channel that a lot of people came to the prayer standing under the Verkhovna Rada, and everyone came at the call of their hearts.
“I often drive a car past the Verkhovna Rada and the Cabinet of Ministers when I go to the Lavra, and I often see various actions and protests near these structures. But here the prayer standing is in no way comparable to them. First, there are a lot of people. Secondly, they all came at the call of their hearts, out of conviction, not for money, as is the case at political events. Thirdly, everything is peaceful and calm. People are praying and giving speeches during breaks,” wrote Father Nikolai.
As previously reported, the prayer standing of UOC believers is taking place near the Verkhovna Rada.
