After his first primatial liturgy, the newly elected Patriarch of the Bulgarian Orthodox Church, Daniel, answered questions from BTV news journalists.
When asked about his primary task, Patriarch Daniel responded: "There are many tasks. The head of the Bulgarian Orthodox Church is a person who embodies unity: the Holy Synod and the people. Because the calling of the Church is precisely to embrace those who are divided. The very name of the Church speaks to us about this unity. The people called by God to be with Him will be united in love."
As the UOJ previously reported, the official address at the enthronement of the new Primate of the BOC was published earlier.
