On 1 August, the defense's request was granted, and investigative judge Kratko was removed from considering the petition to extend the detention of UOC Archpriest Serhiy Chertylin, reports the lawyer, Archpriest Nikita Chekman, on his Telegram channel.
“Let me remind you that Judge Kratko has repeatedly violated the law and the rights of Fr Serhiy, but despite this, a significant number of motions are assigned to him,” explained Fr Nikita.
The lawyer conveyed Fr Serhiy's gratitude for the help and support for his father, Ihor, who is currently in serious condition after a stroke.
The priest published details for assistance.
As reported by the UOJ, on the same day, due to the judge's recusal, the hearing on the eviction of the monks from the Lavra was also postponed.
