The Chancellor of the UOC, Metropolitan Anthony of Boryspil and Brovary, told newsoneua.tv that official delegations of the Antioch, Serbian and Czech Churches will take part in the cross procession on July 27.
“They (official delegations – Ed.) include both bishops and priests with laity. Interestingly, in many respects the initiative to come to our Cross Procession comes from the representatives of other Local Churches themselves. For example, a group of pilgrims from Montenegro came round to celebrate the Day of the Baptism of Rus with us. For them, the Cross Procession of the UOC is already an event of pan-Orthodox significance and scale,” said Metropolitan Anthony.
The Chancellor of the UOC noted that believers from other countries are happy to come to Kyiv to share with Orthodox Ukrainians the joy of common prayer to God.
The spokesmen of the UOC, Archpriest Nikolai Danilevich, said on his telegram channel that since "this year is not an anniversary date, we did not invite all Local Churches."
As the UOJ previously reported, Metropolitan Anthony spoke about the number of parishes, bishops and monasteries of the UOC.
