On the feast of the Exaltation of the Honorable and Life-Giving Cross of the Lord, the brethren of the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra prayed in front of the temple ‘Life-Giving Spring’ sealed by the Ministry of Culture the day before, reports the Save_Lavra Telegram channel.

"But they will not succeed to strangle the prayer because our beautiful faith will sprout and through the bars. With us is God, the Blessed Virgin Mary and the Monks of the Caves," the message says.

As reported by the UOJ, on the order of the Ministry of culture, services in the temple ‘Life-Giving Spring’ from now on will be conducted by chaplains for the military. The Lavra brethren are offered the opportunity to continue to perform services in this chapel but only after prior agreement with the Reserve management.
